It’s your choice. Some of Affordable Maids’ customers are home. Some are home to let the maids in, then leave. Some customers hide a key somewhere outside, some customers purchase a lockbox and provide us with the code (available at any home depot, lock store, amazon under $20, or we can mail you one)

It is also becoming more and more common for more customers to install an electronic access lock for your door such as this inexpensive, easy to install unit Kwikset . Or if you have an alarm company such as ADT, they now sell electronic door locks which you can access by code or control panel on your mobile device.

Many customers also provide us with a key. When providing keys, we require 3 copies of your keys in case of any unexpected or sudden change in your schedule or maid’s absence. If you prefer to just provide 1 copy, we can make 2 copies as long as the key you provide is a good original.

We have a wide variety of housekeepers that can offer a wide variety of additional home services and special projects that can be tailored to your exact needs. If you have a special request just let us know and we will pass the request to your maid.

The Affordable Maids housekeepers will always be prepared to clean your home with their own supplies. If you have preferable cleaning products that you would like to supply instead, just inform our office and we will inform your maid.

We make every effort to have the same maids in your home, however in the event your regular maid is not available for any reason such as illness, we will send an acceptable substitute.

At this time we accept all major credit cards as the only form of payment however you are welcome to tip your maids by cash or inform our office of the tip amount to charge to your credit card. Your credit card will be preauthorized between 1-7 days prior to your service. In the event of cancellation, the preauthorization will automatically be credited back to your credit card within 1-3 business days. The actual charge will be processed once your cleaning is completed.

Affordable Maids pricing is based on flat rates. Get your instant flat rate price quote using our online booking form. Note: Our office reserves the right to charge additional charge based on our advertised online pricing if for any reason home is not accurately described.

We require 24 hours or more notice if you need to change or cancel your scheduled cleaning. Less than 24 hours may result in a $50 cancellation fee.

Depending on our availability and the size of your home, you should be prepared to receive 1 or 2 maids. We will typically try to schedule 2 maids for larger homes and may send more for the extra large projects. If you have a special request, please let us know at the time of booking.
